Okeechobee is a city in Okeechobee County, Florida. The city holds the Speckled Perch Festival each year that honors this famous fish that are found in Lake Okeechobee, which is known as the second largest freshwater lake found within the continental United States. The lake offers guests a variety of fishing opportunities and fishermen can find largemouth bass, crappie and bluegill. Okeechobee has two marinas, and another one is located in Indiantown, approximately 25 miles away.
